26 March
Artistic Director/Curator of the Amsterdam Museum, – Introductions
Petra van der Heide – harp
Tosca Opdam – violin
Pamela Smits – cello

A miniature is a composition linked to a work of art. This program, in which music and images complement each other, is in collaboration with the Amsterdam Museum. Performed by three gifted players, the harp in its various roles is also put in the spotlight.

The music will be selected based on the rich historical and contemporary objects of the Amsterdam Museum. These objects, supported by wonderful stories by the Curator or Director of the Museum, will be shown via a projector on a large screen at the Zuiderkerk.

The location of the Amsterdam Museum on the Kalverstraat will be closed in March 2022 due to a major renovation. Part of the collection can be seen in the Amsterdam Museum wing in the Hermitage Amsterdam. The art objects to be shown in the program will be selected after it is clear which works of art are available in March at the Museum's exhibitions.

Thus the program is still a surprise at the moment. The program will be put together on the basis of the works of art or themes on which the concert will revolve, in order to build a bridge to the musical choices.

A fascinating evening where music, images, and stories about the past, present, and future will come together.
