Bram Kreeftmeijer – Oboe
Jelena Ristic – Violin
Marc Sabbah – Viola
Pamela Smits – Cello
Paul Komen – Piano
In this diverse program the oboe takes a special place in the spotlight. Oboist Bram Kreeftmeijer takes us on an adventure with his instrument, just like Father Gabriel did in the movie The Mission. He takes us through musical panoramas starting with Mozart’s “oboe hit”, then on to Poulenc, continuing the journey to Britten, taking a surprising turn to Johann Christian “London” Bach and finishing at Ennio Morricone's work Gabriel's Oboe.

This dedicated explorer is accompanied on the expedition by four musical travelling companions, each with an enormous track record of their own. Melodious, spectacular, virtuosic, but also light, witty, and spiced with surprising dissonances. This program has many flavours, from duos to a quintet, with everyone having their own moment to shine in the spotlight.
