Dorine Maat – introductions
curator of the Amsterdam Museum
Anneleen Schuitemaker – harp
Eleonore Pameijer – flute
Tosca Opdam – violin
Pamela Smits – cello

The project 'Miniatures Inspired by Music and Visual Arts' was conceived by violinist Tosca Opdam and developed in collaboration with Toscata Foundation and the following museums: Van Gogh Museum, Teylers Museum, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics, and the Mauritshuis in The Hague. The Miniatures link works of art to musical themes. Each Miniature highlights a work of art, introduced by the curator of the museum and Tosca, followed by a performance with a varied line-up of instruments. The online Miniatures series can be found at www.miniatures-music-arts.com. For this particular program, the concept has been adapted into a 'live concert format' and is in collaboration with the Vriendenconcerten Foundation and the Amsterdam Museum.

The music will be selected based on the rich collection of historical and contemporary objects of the Amsterdam Museum. These objects, supported by wonderful stories from the Curator of the Museum, will be shown via a projector on a screen at the Zuiderkerk.

The exact program is still a surprise at the moment, but it certainly will be a fascinating evening; music, images, and stories about the past, present, and future come together as in one work of art.
