Talents from the Netherlands
Youth String Orchestra

In the next concert, Wiener Sachertorte, The Netherlands Youth String Orchestra (NJSO) will perform as an orchestra. This afternoon we offer the young artists of the NJSO their very own concert, in which they can present themselves: by playing chamber music with some other talents, for example, or individually, or perhaps as a soloist with an ensemble. Everything is allowed. The stage is theirs.

The NJSO is a national training orchestra for promising young string players between the ages of 12 and 21; a fantastic schooling for the young string players - professional musicians in the making - in the true craft of orchestral and chamber music excellence. The NJSO acts as a bridge to conservatories and orchestras and has produced many professional musicians. A staggering number of over 130 of the 200 former members have careers in music!

Because a young person's life can change so quickly, we will give them the opportunity to choose the repertoire at the last minute. A surprise presentation concert!
